With everything that needs to get done it is so easy to neglect self care. I’ve been learning to have as much self care as possible.

Here are a few ways to practise self care:

Take a break- Close the curtains, grab a cup of tea, hop into bed and just rest. Whether rest means watching a movie or going to sleep (after finishing the tea 😉 ) it is completely up to you.

Switch off – Put away your phone, turn off the television and any other devices and just spend some quality time with yourself. This is also a great time to just read your Bible and/ or meditate.

Enjoy nature- It is so easy to forget how beautiful and diverse nature truly is. My favourite things to do are to talk a walk, go stargazing or watch a sunset.

Count your blessings- We all have so many things to be grateful for, unfortunately we often forget all these blessings. Make a list of all the things that you are grateful for or keep a gratitude journal. This will help you to count your blessings.

Do something you enjoy- Work on that hobby that you really enjoy but never have time for or maybe even try something new.

Treat yourself- Indulge in a slab of chocolate, bake yourself some brownies, take a bubble bath or watch a movie. Treat yourself to something that you normally wouldn’t have.
